Partnering with Tax Help NM, United Way of Carlsbad & South Eddy County has professionally trained individuals processing income taxes for those community members making less than $53,000 and are under the age of 65; or those over 65 and making less than $75,000.

We also joined forces with the Salvation Army to process Heat NM applications for low-income families needing assistance to pay their NM Gas bill.

FREE discount FamilyWize prescription cards are available to all South Eddy County residents to receive discounts at our local pharmacies. To date local families have saved over $30,000.

United Way of Carlsbad & South Eddy now employs a full time Community Resource Manager to manage our 2-1-1 program and reach out to our community to identify needs and develop a plan on eliminating the need or finding resources available to assist.

Our Executive Director and Resource Manager play an active role in the Eddy County Health Council. The Director serves as the coordinator for the Health Council. Working alongside other health and human service organizations, the roll of the health council is to complete a community health profile, identify needs & resources, analyze issues and establish priorities.

Mayor Janway proclaimed 2-11-15 South Eddy County 2-1-1 Day.  Proclaimation presented by Councilwomen Janelle Whitlock to executive director, Linda Dodd.
